Yeah, thanks for spoiling it a bit..! Ivar has all the making of a right cunt, and has had for a while... well layered programme... Presumably he continues to crawl around encouraging his brothers to do the cuntish things, mostly... axe in the other little kids head aside etc...

That last episode was EPIC.

Possible Spoilers ******

I was thinking ,as we were watching the boys as adults and Ragnar had gone walk abouts for years, that we dont even really need to see Ragnar anymore. We know he ended up in the Snake pit and the boys took their revenge and that jump forward in time could have served as a break to usher in a post Ragnar show. His death has to come pretty damn soon and word reaching them in Kattegatte of their fathers demise would have been a natural end...

Re: Vikings
That sounds a great deal less upsetting that stamdard vomit, yes.

But I shan't be tuning in, all the same.

Sad to reflect on what scandi men have become after their early glory. Politically correct milksops.

Nurse,
Would it help you if I told you that at one point Ragnar vomits up some upsettlingly large spiders.

I know how fond you are of spiders

Re: Vikings
You're a gent, stomper. I am obliged.

Blood and gore holds absolutely no terror for me, but I can't handle vomiting.

Re: Vikings
The show has taken some liberties. Ragnar couldn't have sacked Lindesfarne and fought at Paris as they were separated by over half a century.

This business of Ecbert is a bit out as well.

He did manage to get some holdings in Mercia but it wasnt through usurping the Mercian crown but by waging war against their Kings but he lost them all apart from Kent, Sussex, and Surrey with in six months.

Infact Ecbert struggled to keep Wessex from falling under Mercian control from most of his reign.

The nearest Ecbert came to holding the Mercian crown would be through his Great Grand daughter when she married a Mercian King....

But what ever the history , the scale of this drama is only just beginning.

Both the story of the Saxons and Vikings start with the Sons of Ragnar and Alfred as King...We have years and years of Vikings TV show left.

Yes, read some of the Real history from this era myself.

Some of the series is based on real events, Ragnar and co did attack Paris, and without putting a spoiler on it, if it’s true to history then I already know the outcome of the Ragnar V Rollo showdown, also a William the Conqueror connection that happened century’s later……….

As to the Wessex connection, well according to history it’s actually the king of Northumberland and not Egbert who will have maybe the most significant t part to play when it comes to Viking kings………………….

Trust me, I know the history, such as it is, it will all come together

Re: Vikings
As said, Found season 4 to be a bit slow and quite why they keep going to Wessex and what’s going on there is if anything annoying, surely its all about the attack by the VIKINGS on Paris and Ragna V Rollo, sure it will be of significance later on, but cant see the point of it, previous 3 seasons are much better IMHO.
